Most of the people do not willing to take any risk of losing their outlook data – they should be, as the outlook is the leading portal for business communication. Unfortunately, sometimes, we mistakenly delete or edit our outlook data online and then everything seems to out of control when you cannot retrieve your data back.
Thus, the burning question is how can we prevent the data loss in Outlook and if somehow you did, then the next query will be how to recover the lost data in MS Outlook.
Most of us do not know what kind of features the outlook posses when it comes to restoring the data. One of the most beneficial one in this concern is the Offline Storage Table, commonly known as OST. Apparently, Outlook let its users work in offline mode which later synchronizes with the exchange server. Moreover, there are numerous other features the outlook offers through this OST. However, there is some restriction of these features which later turns into a serious trouble.
One such restriction is a two-gigabyte limitation of OST file. It means, when you exceed this limit, you may face some trouble in handling your MS outlook. The trouble can be anything – from reading email, moving e-mails to a different folder to deleting them.
Fortunately, we have an effective solution to troubleshooting. There it goes- step by step
1. open property dialogue box by right click on the folder
2. You will find Synchronization tab
3. there you will click on Filter
4. Then you need to specify the criteria that will be enlisted to synchronize new items that you like to include in this folder
5. Click twice to return back to Outlook
This method will reduce your OST file. There is another option to reduce the size of OST file: for this, you need to go into the Advance settings of your Exchange account, there you will find compact now button. Click here to reduce the size.
*try to Free Download enables you to preview & converted file and save 30 items per folder.
